First, know thyself

(A.K.A "About Me")

Act I: The Origin Story

My obsession with narrative began in childhood when I would spend summers with my grandparents. They lived next to a movie theater and I would sneak in and watch 3-4 movies a day. At 18 I got my first radio job, followed by years on the road with a traveling theater company. After years of breaking down plays and characters, I returned to Colorado to learn how to build them by getting a degree in Writing & Directing for Television and Film from the University of Colorado, Denver.

Act II: The Lost Years

Every great protagonist faces a period of spinning their wheels, and for me, that was a two decades-long stretch in the media wilderness. This act was defined by five years navigating the high-stress grind of unscripted television, followed by twelve years as a commercial freelance writer. While the work kept me in the industry, it felt like running in place. I was helping everyone else execute their visions while realizing this wasn't the life path or purpose I originally envisioned for myself — but I didn't know how to break the cycle.

Act III: The Vision

The turning point came when I decided to stop working on other people's visions and create my own. I returned to the blank page with a singular mission: to create media that matters. With a robust slate of distinct, high-impact screenplays finalized and hosted on the market, I am ready for the next step in my journey. I am actively seeking representation and production partners to bring these complex, deeply human stories to life, with the ultimate goal of stepping back behind the camera to help direct and produce them.
